Xylitol is a natural sugar extract from birch bark. It lowers the level of acidity (the pH) of saliva, preventing the build-up of bacteria responsible for tooth decay, while also reducing the stickiness and quantity of dental plaque and also improving tooth remineralisation.

Coconut oil and peppermint essential oil carry antiseptic properties to combat the bacteria responsible for tooth decay.
