More information here<\/a><\/strong>[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the difference between a soap and a shampoo?” style=”simple”]A cold saponified soap is the result of saponification<\/strong>Fatty acids (present in the oils \/ fats) + Strong base (caustic soda) \u2013 Soap + glycerin + non-saponifiable products + non-saponified HV. So, we create what is called a surfactant in chemistry (The molecule has two polarities: lipophile and hydrophile. This double polarity gives the soap its cleaning properties).<\/p>\n

Solid shampoo<\/strong>: We use a ready-made surfactant to which we add powders, butters and essential oils according to the purpose of the shampoo we want to make (dry or oily hair for example).<\/p>\n

\u201cI am pregnant, which soap can I use? Any of them, except the ones containing mint, cedar, patchouli, lemon litsea, lavandin, or petitgrain bigarade.

\u27a1\ufe0fOf course you can. You can also brush your teeth with our shampoo or wash your hair with our toothpaste. You do you. We love you. However, you should be aware that the pH of a cold saponified soap isn\u2019t particularly suitable for the skin on your face. Your best bet to wash your face is our cleansing bar (even if you don\u2019t wear makeup)<\/p>\n

\u201cHow should I store it?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u27a1\ufe0fAway from water and humidity. Water is to soap as kryptonite is to Superman, as stress is to Christel and as Monday morning is to humanity.
\nYou don\u2019t need to buy a soap holder. Simply keep it in a (DRY) wash mitt away from your shower\/bath\/pond.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow long will a solid bar of soap last?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u27a1\ufe0fI imagine you realise that this will depend on several factors; if you leave it to stagnate at the bottom of a full bath there is a strong chance it won\u2019t last too long #thatsmadbro<\/p>\n

That also depends on the number of people who will use the soap, the colour of your tiles, your grandma\u2019s first name and of course the atmospheric pressure at the time of your shower\/bath\/swimming session.<\/p>\n

\nThat depends on the length of your hair, how you store it and the number of people that are going to use it. Mad, I know.<\/p>\n

\nContrary to popular belief, solid shampoo is much more economical than its conventional counterparts. In fact, our shampoos don\u2019t contain any water so they melt very slowly. You can totally bet on using it at least 65 times. So, if we rely on my scientific calculations; if you wash your hair 3 x week, a shampoo weighs 70 g and you use 1 g per wash (I will soon post the results of my tests on this) you will have it for 5.8 months SERIOUSLY 5.8 months?!?! But then you have to consider the number of people who will use the shampoo bar, the length of your hair, the direction of the wind, whether you dry it out well between each use and the square of the hypotenuse of the right angle of your shower.<\/p>\n

Rub it under hot water until it becomes milky and apply that to the lengths. You only need very little or you risk your hair becoming oily faster than your 2-year-old left alone with a pot of mayonnaise The magic comes when you rinse.<\/p>\n

+ Dry it out well between each use. Keep it away from heat.<\/p>\n
